Trying to induce

What a wild ride trying to induce has been. Between work, life and inducing...I feel like a mad woman at times.

I started manually pumping around April 13 and taking my lactation supplements on April 15. I have consistently worked hard to pump at least 2-3 times a day. On my off days I pump every - 2 -3 hours and I manually stimulate my breast everytime I shower.
It's been a huge task and undertaking.

Unfortunately, I change locations a lot for work. So inbetween work events I slip into bathrooms and find lactation rooms via an app to get the pumping done.

Sometimes the app is accurate and the rooms are readily available and other times they aren't and I simply opt for an oversized handicap or family bathroom stall.

As I mentioned...trying to induce is a huge undertaking.

Here are the perks:

  • My cycle came on this month with grace and kindness. The crazy cramps, weird moodiness, and heavy flow are gone. Super excited about that future.
  • As I enter the stage of life where I am peri-menpausal I'm very relieved to find that my night sweats are gone. I mean, I haven't woken up in a wet mess since I started regularly pumping.
  • My sex drive is at an all time high - not sure if that's really a perk as a woman with no partner.

The stuff I could do without:

  • Pumping is so tedious at times that I almost want to give up the idea and just settle for dry suckling.
  • Trying to find a parnter worth my effort and breastmilk is like trying to paint my bedroom with a nail polish brusth.
